More about our December speaker:

Peter started his career as a journalist, including serving as a special correspondent for Newsweek magazine in Asia. He was managing editor at the original Wired Magazine that introduced the world to the digital revolution and helped invent the early world wide web.

Peter became the founding director of the New Politics Institute that helped those in Washington transition to a new way of doing politics using web video, social networking and mobile media. That effort eventually culminated in Barack Obama’s historic 2008 campaign, with Leyden serving on his technology and media advisory committee.

He frequently gives multimedia keynote speeches at conferences throughout the United States and Europe and talks about technology, future trends, and economic and political change. Leyden has two masters degrees from Columbia University, and graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University. He now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and daughter.
